Joy Cruse grew up in a small rural community in Oklahoma as a preacher's daughter. Growing up in the church armed her with God's Word during the arduous battle that would come years later.
Joy and Tait Cruse's son, Connor, was diagnosed with cancer at the age of four. After a four-year battle, he went to be with the Lord on July 10, 2009.
For five years, Joy and Tait Cruse walked closely with god while their four-year-old son, Connor battled stage- IV cancer. Throughout this time, their primary focus was to navigate through the toughest battle of their lives without losing their hope in Christ. Hope Transformed offers a simple guide in devotional/self-help format for readers to work through their own battles, while garnering strength from God.
Joy and her husband, Tait, live in Frisco, Texas with their five children- Mackenzie, Carson, Mason, Tyler and Emma.
They also founded TeamConnor Childhood Cancer Foundation, an organization that raises awareness and funds for childhood cancer. To learn more about TeamConnor, please visit www.teamconnor.org
